At InterNations, English is our common language. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use the community to practice another language or interact with others who speak your mother tongue.
If you’re in Tokyo and would like to brush up on your local language skills, the Tokyo Japanese Conversation Group has got your back. Their Fun Language & Culture Exchange on 6 April, for example, combined small talk and cultural exchange while rotating languages in conversation.
In Tunis, there are events like the POLYGLOT Super Happy April Reunion Time on 11 April, where attendees meet to practice languages, discover cultures, and make friends.
Similarly, the Madrid Language Exchange Group hosts regular Language Exchanges like the one on 3 April. Speakers of all languages are welcome!
Of course, you don’t have to sit down at a table to talk. On 6 April, the Vienna Spanish Speakers Group enjoyed a scenic 10-km hike along Vienna’s City Hiking Trail 2.
There’s no language-specific group available in your community? Try hosting an event yourself! Or take a look at our Global Groups and their online events for opportunities to connect and exchange with fellow language lovers.
Did you know that 7 April was World Health Day? It’s a day for shining the spotlight on global health topics and general health awareness.
Getting active is a major step towards a healthier life. So on 12 April, the Singapore Wellness & Health Group headed out for an early Hike and Breakfast combo.
A Delicious and Healthy Breakfast was also on the menu for the Munich Wellbeing Group on Sunday, 13 April. From refreshing smoothies to mouthwatering bowls, there was something for every taste.
Do you also want to do something for your health this month (or in general)? Take a look at your calendar to see how InterNations can help!
For example, on 17 April, the Luxembourg Outdoor Activities Group is heading out for some Sunset Power Walking, a low-impact exercise that helps boost your cardiovascular health and strengthens your muscles.
If you’re in New York City later this month, you can join the Fitness and Recreation Group for some Green Forest Therapy in the botanical garden on 26 April.
For everyone who’d simply like to slow down, there’s a 30-Min Yoga + 15-Min Breathwork online event coming up on 28 April. Why not join the Global Well-Being Group for a chance to practice your resilience and tune in with your body? Can’t make the date? Don’t worry, there are regular sessions.
Ready to hide some chocolate eggs? Easter is coming up!
In Salt Lake City, the community celebrated early with an Easter Brunch on 13 April. Tasty food, spring sunshine, and great company — what more could one want?
InterNations Perth’s Easter Soirée may be taking place as you read this. Members were invited to come for Easter fun — and stay for the international camaraderie. We’re sure the event won’t disappoint!
You’re in San Diego on Saturday, 19 April? Then join the Coffee & Connect Group for a hoppin’ good time at the Easter Bunny Coffee Celebration. The highlight of the event: real bunnies! Grange Garden, the event venue, is not only home to amazing flavors but also up to 20 adorable bunnies, as well as a truly amazing re-homing project to find rescues their forever homes.
A bit further to the east in Dallas, it’s not the Easter Bunny that’s in the spotlight! Instead, (costumed) dogs are at the center of attention during the annual Pooch Parade. The parade is only one of the fun agenda points for the city’s Easter in the Park event, which also includes an egg hunt for children and live music. Why not join the Arts & Culture Group for this fun outing on Sunday, 20 April?
